In Illinois, both trafficking and manufacturing are felony charges. While it depends on how much and what drugs you are alleged to be making or moving, a conviction will usually lead to harsh prison sentences.

While some states relaxed their marijuana enforcement laws, in Illinois, possessing more than 30 grams is a felony, and more than 5,000 grams will constitute trafficking. Additionally, a conviction of intent to deliver more than 5 grams of cocaine will mean a mandatory prison sentence.
